Where?
Extra training is training at various clubs/academies such as RT Elite, AWA, Maverick Wrestling, Nazar, Sarbacker, B.A.M., Ringers, etc., that aren’t the EWC or at EWC facilities.
What?
If you are going to any private training facility (as approved by the EWC Director of Private Training Coordination) you are eligible for up to 50% reimbursement or $1000 max for the 2026-27 season. The EWC training year starts April 1st. (Must meet standards listed below.)
When?
Before, during and after the EWC wrestling season.
Why?
Do you want to be the next Evansville High School Wrestling team State Champion?
Do you want to improve your individual skills?
Do you want to push your personal limits and achieve all of your goals?
If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of the previous questions then that is why.
How?
You are a fully vested member of the EWC, meaning you paid your dues and you attend EWC practices. You need to attend at least 50% of EWC practices. That will be monitored by the EWC Youth Head Coach and Private Training Coordinator.
EWC members sold 20 sportsman raffle tickets during the current year. 10 additional tickets per additional sibling looking for reimbursement. This will be monitored and verified by the Director of Fundraising and Director of Private Training Coordination.
You attend at least 66% of all of the practices at your chosen facility. That will be verified by the Director of Private Training Coordination. If you don’t adhere to this standard you will not be eligible for the reimbursement. There may be cases of “excused absences” that do not count against you. Examples include injury, illness, family emergency.
EWC members will wrestle at team tournaments under Evansville Wrestling Club, this includes the WWF Qualifier, WWF Kids Folkstyle State, and WWF Freestyle and Greco State.
All reimbursements will be issued at the end of the wrestling season, March 31st 2027.
