Understandings:
1. Program: EWC members in Grades 2-8 shall be allotted up to 50% reimbursement or 1000 maximum annually. The EWC training year begins April 1st and ends March 31st of the following year.
2. Eligibility:
a. The EWC member shall be approved by the EWC Training Director and the Training Coordination sub-committee, if any.
b. Grade 2-8 members; shall be a paid member of the club and attend club practices (where possible, outside MS season)
c. The program shall NOT be available to members that are not enrolled in the Evansville Community School District.
d. Exceptions: may apply to these criteria. Any exceptions must be decided upon by a majority vote of the coaches on the EWC Board.
3. Attendance Requirements: Youth sessions must be attended at 66.6% (or 2/3 of classes) of each session (generally held three times a week).
a. Attendance will be assessed quarterly by EWC Training Director in conjunction with the EWC Training committee.
b. Transportation: Is solely the responsibility of the EWC member and their personal guardian(s) to and from the Private Instruction Training locations.
4. A Participation Agreement: Shall be signed and on record with the Board prior to any amounts being paid. This document is the participation agreement. This document shall be signed by the EWC Training Director, The EWC member receiving the benefits of this program, and the personal guardian(s) (i.e. the parents) of the EWC member. The personal guardian(s) of the EWC member are agreeing to personally guarantee the compliance of the EWC member with this agreement in exchange for reimbursed Supplemental Private Instruction Training.
5. Payments: Shall come from the EWC directly to the parent/guardian of the EWC member that previously paid the external training organization. The EWC training Director shall insure that the attendance requirements have been met by the EWC member before signing off on any reimbursements.
6. Reservation of Rights: The EWC reserves the rights to adjust payment policy, eligibility policy or any other Supplemental Private Instruction Training policy at will. Additionally the EWC reserves the right to cancel the program in its entirety at any time.
7. Disclaimer of Liability: THE EWC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INJURIES OR LOSSES ARISING FROM ANY USE OF THIS SUPPLEMENTAL PRIVATE INSTRUCTION TRAINING PROGRAM BY THE EWC MEMBER OR THEIR PERSONAL GUARDIAN(S).
8. Liquidated Damages:
a. The EWC and the benefitted EWC member (and the personal guardian(s) thereof) agree that in the event of any breach of this agreement the EWC members, by their personal guardian(s)/personal guarantors, agree to reimburse the EWC of the monies that were expended on behalf of the EWC member for the Supplemental Private Instruction Training services. In the case of non-reimbursement of said monies the EWC member forfeits any rights they have to further participate in the Supplemental Private Instruction Training program.
